Congratulations are in order!

One evening, I was working on creating gifs out of previous gallery photos - a trend I'd seen online for some photographers that I wanted to try out. Once finishing, I figured I'd send them to the clients as a fun little freebie. What I definitely wasn't expecting was the client reaching back out expressing their gratitude, and revealing they'd been keeping a little secret they wanted to share - they're expecting!

Turns out, Courtney had just found out she was pregnant, and was wanting photos done to announce their newest addition to the world. Luckily, she was already planning to reach out to me! I was super stoked, and we immediately set into figuring out all the details; dates and times, locations, outfits. Oh, the excitement!

A little time passes, and we meet up in downtown Rockingham, NC to get some fun valentine's themed shots done to announce their new little love - and the weather was horrible. 40 degree temps, bone-chilling wind, and harsh sun all melded together to create an absolutely dreadful photoshoot combination. Nevertheless, the Norris family were absolute troopers, we worked through it and got some amazing shots - you can't even tell it was freezing!

After all that, I went home and got to editing. A few days of editing resulted in some of my favorite work to date - it only goes to show that despite unfortunate circumstances, absolutely gorgeous photos can still come of them, if only you put in a little bit of love.
