What is a Maternity Client Closet?
Lots of photographers are now offering what they call a “client closet” when you book them for their services. These “closets” are a collection of beautiful pieces of clothing that you know will photograph well, and fit the theming of your session. During your session, you get to borrow clothes, take gorgeous photos, and then change back into what you arrived in!
But why do this? Why would this option be more convenient than your typical photo session experience? Let’s explore the reasons!
No overthinking what to wear
If you’re anything like me, you worry over making the right outfit choices. What will look most flattering? What colors will pop just right? Is this pattern too much? When you utilize the maternity client closet, you can rest assured that you have dresses that will photograph well to choose from, and never have to worry about driving from store to store, or having online shopping fatigue!

With the closet, you get to wear your comfy clothes while getting ready and on the drive, so you’re more comfortable in the lead up to your session (which, let’s be honest - alleviates stress alone!) When you arrive, you can change into your beautiful dress and get right to it!
This way, you won’t have to worry for a second about keeping your dress pristine and pretty because it’ll be with me! Then once the session is over you swap back into your own clothes and can be nice and comfortable again.
